Governor Jerry Brown spoke at a CalChamber conference Thursday morning, making a stunning admission about his controversial gas tax hike (supported by CalChamber and nearly all Democrats) that he pushed through the legislature in April.
“I know a lot of people don’t like gas taxes. I don’t even like gas taxes myself,” @JerryBrownGov says, after muscling through a gas tax.

The lesson: it’s not that Gov. Jerry Brown doesn’t know how unpopular his gas tax hike is, it’s that he doesn’t care.
